Can anybody recommend any Albums that I might like? I haven't bought an album in ages because quite simply I can't find anything I like.

To help you, The last album I bought was "Amnesiac" by radiohead and I wasn't over impressed. In my CD player I have Pink Floyd - The Wall and The Division Bell, The Manic Street Preachers - This Is My Truth...., Linkin Park Hybrid Theory and Radiohead - Pablo Honey.

So what is a good recommendation of an album that I might like?

If you like hip-hop. Then Jurassic 5 is your best bet. I know I keep on about them , but they are brilliant! I have their second album , and I have a song called 'Concrete Schoolyard' , that song is awesome , I listen to it all the time! GET IT!!

Cake - I saw their video last week... one where they get people on street to listen, it wsas alright.

Trust me, Mark B & Blade "The Unknown" is a fantastic album, hasnt left my stereo yet.

Get some Blur... get the best of

I have all 5 Radiohead albums and The Bends IS without question the best album ever (by any band). As for the Manics I also have Everything Must Go which is quite good but "Know Your Enemy", well I'm not impressed and will probably wait until I can get it cheep. However the other Manics albums you mention, I don't have but have been tempted before to buy them, especially after seeing the Manics In concert. As for Blur I have Parklife, The Great Escape and 13 - which is quite good.

As for Goatboys suggestions I might try and find some of the stuff especially Mark B & Blade as some UK Hip-hop isn't half bad.

So if anybody doesn't come up with any better suggestions I will probably be buying at least one of the "old" Manics albums (which will probably be better than Know Your Enemy)and also looking out for Mark B & blade.

Ok, sorry for not saying.

Cake - Very loose and lo-fi US blues/rock. Did a cover of "I will survive" that rocks.

Eels - See above. Slightly left-of-centre scuzzy blues sort of thing. I know I'm being vague but it's hard to define.

Mark B & Blade - Uk Hip-Hop. But good.

Dr John - New Orleans funk/blues/jazz master.
Has been playing for over 30 years now, and is the accepted Grandaddy of "swamp-rock". Loads of people cite him as an influence.
He's playing in October in London and I got meh ticket.
