I got Generals, but noticed the cursor flickers randomly when moving and didsappears while still which is a bit strange. However, I didn't think there was anything I could do about it, so I just left it. However on other profiles on the computer it works fine! Anyone know why, and how to fix it on mine?

No, no, on the one PC, on someone elses Windows XP profile, it works fine, but on the same PC, with my profile it doesn't work.

A bit confusing that last post, but patches are made to fix bugs, be it something to do with graphical glitches or just fixing those bugs the developers where kind enough to leave in for us. As for why it works on a friends PC but not yours, well that's PCs for you.

Not one computer is the same, each have wildly different, but slightly similar hardware to one another. The game may glitches on your PC and not on a friends, while some people may not be able to run it while others can install it no problem. That's PC gaming for you though.

But why would it be the patches, because it works on other peoples profiles, just not mine.

As mentioned earlier, have you installed all the patches available for the game? to me it sounds like a fault with the graphics, usually patches fix these minour glitches so it may be a good bet to start there.

Strangely enough, the same can be said for previous C&C games as well. They where great back in the day, when strategy games where just getting they're bearings, but all that base building, tank rushing does get slightly old hat the more you practice it.

Perhaps why I still haven't got Generals despite owning nearly all of the previous C&C games.

Tried buying the game?
Or didn't you think of that?
Although a dictionary would probably prove to be a better investment.
