Ok, I'll tell you.
First of all, on the map, can you see the two sharp corners just before the finish-line straight?
And can you see the short little straight in between those two sharp turns? Well, with this fine little shortcut, you will never have to go through that part of the track EVER AGAIN!
Right, you know the long stretch of track with the many boosters accompanied by the Shy Guy's little 'tepees' dotted around for your despair? Well, after the last boost, instead of going left and following the track which leads to the first of the two last sharp turns that I metioned earlier - just drive straight ahead and you will find a 'bouncer' that, when using your mushroom correctly, will bounce you straight over the part of the track I also mentioned earlier. I'm pretty confident in saying that you won't find the 'bouncer' first time, instead, scan the colourful wall that makes that sharp turn after the last boost and forget about racing.
Now, once you know where it is, you can use all of those boosters on the tracks to get you there, and then you boost yourself by using one of your mushrooms which should see you cutting off a considerable amount of time from your lap.
There you go.

I just got 1'36"70
My best lap time is around 29 seconds
Oh , and the shortcut is at the end of the line of turbo's , its a jump that lets you clear 2 hairpins!!!

Alright, I think I have the winning time here, laddies.
First of all, incase you think it's false, I did the shortcut on all three laps sucessfully - and the time was amazing compared to this lot 'ere! ;-)
Right:
1st Lap: 30'00 seconds EXACTLY.
2nd Lap: 28'08 seconds.
3rd Lap: 27'08 seconds.
So I managed 1'24''88 - YES!
