As the world has become more advanced, children have adapted to their surroundings, turning them into spoilt children. If books where still as popular as they were 50 years ago, there would be no greed or fighting or competition between groups and individuals.
As a teenager I tend to never read a book, only at school. I have been sucked into the world of action movies. If I were offered a book or an action movie, I would quite happily take the action movie without even thinking about the title of the book.
I think if books were introduced to youngsters at an early age and they were told to stick with the books, it would become a regular thing for them and they will grow up reading and teaching themselves at the same time.
The point I'm trying to make is that it is impossible for children of this generation to read a book of there own good will, and this will never change because the way that the world is becoming more advanced.
