It's all these great features, like an insanly good physics engine, great AI that make the game so good. If you cut that all out, then your just going to be left with another run of the mill first person shooter!
So it's best to wait till the technology is there before releasing the game on multiple platforms!

The physics in that game is immense! And the graphics are top notch! Though I love the GameCube n all, I hardly think it is fully capable of running a game like Half-Life 2 to the best of its abilities!
I mean take other games for example. Splinter Cell. Bit's of levels taken out, dynamic shadows taken out...
Honestly, the GameCube is good, but going that in a year or slightly more, Nintendo are planning on bringing out another console.... kinda tells you something!
