HELLO!
Just wanted to ask a quick question about XBOX Live. We had a 4 port router, but have now got an 8 port one, with 1 mega bit Broadband. So if I get the XBOX Live starter kit, do I then just need the network cable to plug in to the router - if so, do I use Inline or Cross-over UTP?

Use the same sort of cable that connects that router to your PC's.
The Xbox is basically a PC with a network card.
Crossover goes from PC to PC.
Normal ethernet cables go from PC to Router or Xbox to Router.
I'm SURE that's how it works anyway...

If you look at the live logo I think you will find it's all in capitals.

if it's going into the router it'll be a straight cable, if the router and hub are seperate they'll be linked by a straigh cable into the uplink port (or if it doesn't have upling a crossover will do instead in any port)
but if it's all one unit just connect it with a straight cable
i should no i mess with the damn things all day :-D routers and switches/hubs that is
