this programmes great! I havn't got it at home yet but i'm using it at college with broadband! it's really good, just thought i'd share that with you.

Win2k...Windows 2000. Yes, if you have to use a Windows o/s, get this, it's far superior to the home series (win9x). Much better memory management, support for over 256mb RAM, multiple processors, and a degree of control over the networking aspects.
"It doesn't do games". Yes it does. At i8 I saw countless people using it, as the stability was excellent - my box didn't crash once while I was there, although plenty of 9x ones around me did...any new game will work fine, most older ones just need a patch - I've never had a problem with incompatable titles. You might drop a few FPS, but driver support (especially nVidia) is very good.
If you have a few hundred quid spare (and plenty of RAM), go buy it..
