Bought NFL a few days back and I must say it has managed to improve on the excellent 2003 version. Franchise mode rules but I've yet to build my own stadium so I look forward to that. I've played Franchise with the Eagles and we've gotten off to a bad start. We played Dallas and lost 21-17. We were ahead until the final 5 seconds when Dallas intercepted the ball and made a run to make a touchdown. I better improve on my throwing and efending I think. Anyway we're 20th and I'll tell you if I win my second game later.
By the way. Buy this game. If you own 2003 then trade it in. Out with the old and in with the new is what I say.

How many minutes a half do you play, and on what difficulty?
And did you try all the pre-season Training Camp stuff, or head straight for a season?
I'm thinking of having a go in Franchise, but it seems to be the perfect way to completely chew up my Memory Card (in fact, the whole game does that), and it's suddenly all seeming a lot more complicated than it was in the 2002 edition. So much has changed in two years...

The offense is simple enough, however I have a little trouble with defending as the game is a little biased towards the attacks. Anyway there is an EAsy play mode where instead of words like shotgun or singleback you have pass, deep pass and run. It's easy for a non NFL fan to pick it up and play.
