But what if we could play more of a role in games development. I don't mean actually making the games and things like that, I just mean the features of the games.
How many times have you played through a game and found things that aren't in the game that could have made it better? This has happened to me several times, normally while playing beat em ups (as this is my best genre).
But, how could we play more of a role in games development.
Well, I have been thinking about that. What if companies such as THQ and Capcom among others, have a part of their internet sites dedicated to what people think of their previous games and how they could be improved. These improvements could then be used in the next game. I know this may not be much of playing a role, but it does get those ideas that you had across.
I bet that if you are playing that game and see your idea in there, you'd be chuffed to know that you helped to get it in there. Well, some games would anyway.
It would be good if we had much more of an influence on games development. Does anybody else think this would be good? How else could we influence games development?
Actually, TR6 will be the first TR game I buy. I'm quite looking forward to it.

Sounds like a good idea. Don't some of them do that. I know that they give out questionaires asking you what consoles you have and the like. But surveys with more questions on what you like in a game would be good.

I agree. After playing and finishing most games I always find myself thinking about how they could have been improved.
I won GAD the other day for my post suggesting how Crazy Taxi could be improved.
I remember the No Mercy sites when everyone was saying that WrestleMania 2000 was way to hard.
I cursed all of them.
I think that Rare did a lot of research for Perfect Dark.
They realised that most people liked the Turok 2 weapons wheel, that sims were a good idea, different colours made teams easier, people wanted to save their player names and stats and that they wanted to mix their own weapon sets and game set ups.
Personally, I don't think that we'll get a real input in games until we make them ourselves.

If I'm not mistaken I think Core Design did something like that
