I got a free copy of Championship Manager for joining the Telegraphs Fantasy Football, and, apparently, it arrived today, so that's another different type of game for me to play than I already have. Excellent, more variety.
I've got the tactics and planning of Championship Manager to look forward to, and if I fancy something a little different, but still relatively tactical, then I've got Age of Empires to play on too. But then again, at the moment I don't feel that 'war-hungry' so maybe I'll go for something old-scholl on one of my emulators. Playing SuperMarioWorld always brings a smile to my face, and the Bomberman games are classics, that are still highly enjoyable.
Somedays I fancy a trip right back to my youth, and emulate some Acorn Electron games. How did I not find text-adventures incredibly annoying? I don't know, but I certainly enjoyed them then. How was I ever any good at Thrust? Damn this game seems tough now. I really think this should be remade for todays consoles, it rules.
So I've got all these different types of game to play, without even mentioning the N64. What I love about my N64 is the quality multiplayer games I've got, for those times I don't feel like going solo. And in these multiplayer games, there is a huge variety too! There's Goldeneye for the deathmatches, Mario Kart for the races, Mario Tennis for frantic sports action, or Mario Party 2 for all round mini-game fun. Oh, and we can't forget No Mercy for a big of sweaty brawling action!
Add to that a host of single player games I've yet to complete, and I ask myself why am I spending so much time looking forward? I have hours of GAMECUBE videos on my PC. These games I can play in the future, and the videos are helping me decide which ones I'll want, but until next year I really should get back to doing what I like best, and that's just playing games.
I love gaming, and I love having many games to suit many moods.
Lylat Wars rules.
LALALA Can't hear you Lalalalala...

As I'm now going home, to eat copius amounts of birthday cake, and shall not see you rpolitical rants can I just say lylat wars, lylat wars, lylat wars, lylat wars, lylat wars.
:-)
You're all after me..i wont admit that game was any good.
Microsoft Train Sim is better, at least it takes longer to do one task than to COMPLETE A ROUTE and get end credits.
Please, stop talking of this game and I'll stop being political for the rest of the day.
I'm not sure when Star Fox will return to the Arwing.
Wonder what the Gamecube game will be like (if they are planning one).
They were class.
That Special Route through the asteroid field was interesting too.
I liked the game. It didn't bother me that the 'easy' route could be completed quite simply. That level with the huge missiles ruled. And the submarine level was awesome. Oh, and chasing the big rock-type monster thing through the cave thing, blowing up certain bits of it till it exploded. That ruled too.
I love games.
Damn I wish I didn't have to work.
That's not exactly hard and like you said, chimps and kids can do THAT.
But how many chimps and kids managed to play through all the levels and master them to the point where they have a medal on every level?
Very few.
And I don't think Goats can either :-P
Within one hour, no continues needed.
Then I realised that the N64 was for chimps and children.
You simply played through it.
ANYONE can do that.
If you'd bothered to master the levels and earn the medals, then you would've had much more appreciation for the game, and it would've lasted you atleast a month and a half.
