Okay, if you've read the other thread that I posted the answer in, ignore this for now.

It's pretty easy though.

Today is my birthday.

I am 12 times older than my daughter.

In 20 years time I will only be twice as old as my daughter.

How old are we now, and what will we be celebrating in 16 years time?

I take it you have a lemon tree too then?

Sherlock always used to get his answers from it, when asked how he solved the case, he'd simply say "A lemon tree, my dear Watson, a lemon tree."

Hey! I wrote that! I got it right too! I just diddnt get the ages after 16 years, not because I cannot add 16 to 24, but because i was looking for a mathmatical link between the 2 numbers, which is 9/20ths of your age.

I make it you are 24, and she is 2, winch does the first but right, but I cannot see the comparison between the figures for the last bit.
