Ryu and Ken were easy to win with.

But you can’t beat Blanka, ZAPZAPZAP…that was the electrical attack, if you didn’t know…

On the back of the box for Street Fighter Alpha for the PS1 it asks 'Ryu got your number?'

I could imagine him and Ken in 118 uniforms...

I played SF alpha or some such name in america, i got suprisingly far.

I played SFII in the arcades at Skeggness and it was surprisingly hard - i could hardly touch Blanca

definately Ryu, not sure about ken...
the buttons were pressure sensitive though,so the harder ya hit them, the more damage ya did...
caused a lot of broken hand bones and damaged machines apparantly...

I never played SF I, although I'd love to.

I rarely play as Chun-Li, she just fades into insignificance.

I'm going back to the days of SF II. Mine had to be Chun-Li. She was the only one that could jump off the side of the screen. Also I liked her spinning bird kick, may be just beacuse I could then look at her underwear but that's besides the point. After that it was either Ryu or Ken, both nearly identiacl but with one or two different moves each.

Is it true that in the first Street Fighter you could only play as Ryu or Ken?

They're the same tactics Ken uses on me.

damn straight..
an endless stream of "tiger" fireballs and then an uppercut when you jump them.. booooooooring!
he was good to use though, that tiger uppercut was a great mulit-hit move, especially from Alpha onwards
