Close!

It was 'Street Fighter 2: Special Championship Edition'

Balrog, the boxer, was originally called M.Bison (M.Bison : M.Tyson - see what they were doing there?) but that was changed when the game was released over in Europe.

I'm guessing that there have been about 20 different Street Fighter games in one form or another. That's going from the very first up to the most recent. Could well be a lot more for all I know. 20 is just a rough estimate by not counting.

Note: I can spell sometimes and the name of the mega drive version was made up.. it was SF2: Chapiom Edition.. i think. I added a few extra bit to compensate all 3000000 versions.

There was a new version on SF2 more often than Man United changed their away kit.

Vega was me fave. Balrog was his original name but them that fat boxer fella appeared and was given the name Balrog. Guiles flash kick was aweseom.

After about 4 years of SF2 on the snes.. Street Figher 2: Special Multplayer Hyper X Fantasy Championship Edition, was released on the Mega Drive.. where we seen Chun-Li (PHWWWWWWWWWWOAR *_-) able to do a fire ball :D

I could be wrong but wasn't Vega only able to climb up the cage mesh. Chun-Li could jump off the side of the screen but not climb the cage mesh.

Not true, Vega (the guy from Spain - i add this qualification because in the Jap version he was called Balrog) could also jump off the walls.

Oh and speaking as the ex-European Street Fighter champion...

In the original Street Fighter 2 either the best characters were either Ryu or Ken - both were identical, but when Capcom extended the range of Ken's Dragon Punch in SF2: Turbo, Ken became the single most powerful character in the game. And the one who won me the title :-)

Guile was also good as a second character. But not a patch of Ken's Dragon Punch - an unstoppable move.

Vega was his name.

He was from Spain.

He was fast, and had long arms.

Blanka was the green dude.

He sucked.
