Snuggly: CD on it's way to you tomorrow with mighty rockness loaded on it
Loki: You still ok to do that dancy mix thing? If not it's cool, I meant to mention it last week but things got on top of me.
"What you need, you know I got..so hands up,who wants to rock?"
Trying to make a compilation of my VERY favourite dance tracks without going over 5 CDs will be almost impossible. Ideally there would be a CD for chill-out, illbeint, drum n bass, vocal etc etc but I'll do my best to whittle it down. Could take a few days!
Quick question, how to you feel about hip hop? Also, was it you that liked Gorecki? I've got some cool post-rock/dance stuff influenced by Gorecki, Arvo Part etc which I love,
but a few peopled I've played it too just looked nonplussed rather than entralled. Not everyone's tastes I guess.

I must admit I

Yeah, it takes some listening to.
It's just not "Grrr..parents are mean" nu-metal crap.
I think you've offered the best description of it "Dirty, scuzzy Blues".
They have some guys from Kyuss, 60 Watt Shamen and Queens of The Stone Age playing with them.
First time I heard it, I was like "Er...ok" but it grew and grew on me.
Big, bluesy jams with furious groove.
Bizarre lyrical content but shows they dont take it all too seriously, just good old timey music.
Don't worry, I'll soon sort it out, listen to my dance stuff again and
> finish working out the tracklisting!
Cheers sir, I wasn't being all "Do it now!", just forgot about it. I got pretty low as well and forgot all about music.
Even forgot the Log in The Creek stuff, getting back on top of that this week.
Got 4 episodes to write for Friday.
Damn
It is still open... just thought I would let you know.
Thanks
Joby
I must admit I didn't get it to be honest. To me the music sounded a bit 'beardy', you know ageing Hendrix fans on an extended blues jam. To me the John Spencer Blues Explosion and Jesus Lizard did tha dirty scuzzy blues thing better.
But I've only heard it once so I might be talking drivel :)
The dance CD is in its formative stages. I would have got further without but I've been a bit down recently so have been in full punk rock/hardcore mode to try and snap myself out of it.
Don't worry, I'll soon sort it out, listen to my dance stuff again and finish working out the tracklisting!
Gaoty, this has just reminded me I need to do that CD for you.
Email me your address by thursday evening, as I'm off to Leicester for the weekend, and I want to post it before I go.
It's a mates 21st, so things will get messy.....
Did The Rock reach The Towers?
Did it leave you scratching your head because it's not like any other rock out there?
Is it a coaster for the news-mug?
"Hey hey now...what's that smell?..."
Dr Monkey recording snippet sounds a lot like the stuff on this CD.
Ok, I'm at home now and off to copy the lyrics out for you, because they will NOT make sense if you listen to them.
"What you need" etc is the 1st track, lasts 1min 2 secs and those are the lyrics.
Play it loud.
*hand up*
