delayed. Yep, that's right, Half-Life 2 has been delayed, it will no longer come out on the 30th of September, I got this from clanbase:

"The previously announced September 30th release date for Half-Life 2 is being pushed back. We are currently targeting a holiday release, but do not have a specific "in-store" date to share at this time. We will release that information as soon as we have confirmed a new date."

Too bad :( I was expecting it to be honest, alot of games are delayed these days. I say it will come around Christmas time since that is a busy holiday time.

Sorry guys I forget to say that the comment I posted was said by Valve's Doug Lombardi, so it is official, Half-Life 2 has been delayed, Valve confirmed it.

Well if it's delayed, I hope it isn't delayed for long. It will give me time to play Homeworld 2 and Halo even Max Payne 2, but I've been hyped about this game since I first heard about so the sooner it's released, the better.

November the 28th according to HMV (empty packages on the shelfs asking you to reserve a copy)

I live in hope that the 30th Sept is hit however I think an early 2004 release is not likely.

I WANT THIS TITLE!

Sierra (or Vivendi, or whatever) announced a delay a few weeks ago, but Valve denied any such thing, saying they were still aiming for September 30th.

Seeing as everything had gone a bit quiet and the shops, media etc weren't kicking up a fuss about the fact that we've only got a few days left to wait, it seemed way too good to be true, and indeed Valve have confirmed this today.

Ahh well, at least I was expecting this. At least I might be able to get some college work done now! :)

This announcement was made weeks ago, whether or not it's true is unclear since there has yet to be an official responce by Vavle or anyone working on Half-Life 2. Release dates range from 30th sept, to 28th Nov and even a few rumours saying early 2004.

November seems more realistic to me, and even though I'd love Valve to suprise everyone and release the game next Tuesday as originally planned, I just don't see that happening.

Anyway, if it is delayed it'll give me time to play Homeworld 2 which is out this Friday.
