"The previously announced September 30th release date for Half-Life 2 is being pushed back. We are currently targeting a holiday release, but do not have a specific "in-store" date to share at this time. We will release that information as soon as we have confirmed a new date."
Too bad :( I was expecting it to be honest, alot of games are delayed these days. I say it will come around Christmas time since that is a busy holiday time.

Gameplay have it slated for this date also.

Thanks, that sincerity should get me through the night.
I live in hope that the 30th Sept is hit however I think an early 2004 release is not likely.
I WANT THIS TITLE!
Seeing as everything had gone a bit quiet and the shops, media etc weren't kicking up a fuss about the fact that we've only got a few days left to wait, it seemed way too good to be true, and indeed Valve have confirmed this today.
Ahh well, at least I was expecting this. At least I might be able to get some college work done now! :)
November seems more realistic to me, and even though I'd love Valve to suprise everyone and release the game next Tuesday as originally planned, I just don't see that happening.
Anyway, if it is delayed it'll give me time to play Homeworld 2 which is out this Friday.
