Looks like it might work to fix a tv then (obviously vastly different from a monitor then).

I wouldn't put a magnet near a monitor though. :D

I fixed my TV screen with a magnet once. The bottom right corner was all wierd and discoloured compared to the rest, so I got a magnet and dragged that corner back into colour.

Could be magnetic forces then.

If you bring a magnet to near, say, a computer screen it de-polarises the screen ruining it.

Seen it done to a Mac classic with a brick-sized magnet.

May well be, my clothes do have a lot of static when i'm finished on the PC and watching the TV and the first TV packed up when i moved it closer to my PC

You shold buy one of those multi-scart things...I have got one. What it is, is a scart lead going into the back of your tele and the other end has 5 scart holes. You have to make sure you only have one thing on at a time though or it will interfere with each other.
