Now, Grandprix the stars thing is basically with every Nintendo game you purchase you get a token worth 250 stars. If you sign up with Nintendo Europe you can enter the pin and get more and more stars. In return for your stars you can purchase things on the stars catalogue.
Right now there's utter rubbish on there, things like Screensavers and Desktop items but every now and then Nintendo will put up real goodies as they've done in the past. They've had The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition, Metroid Prime Name Plate, Zelda bonus disc (NOT Zelda Collector's Edition), Miyamoto-designed Mario poster, Game Boy Player and a GBA SP.
They only have about 5000 in stock for each so they usually sell pretty quickly. Anyway, save up your stars and you can get these goodies for free :D
