Ralf's punishment was fair I think. Sato lost a minimal amount of time. Sato lost all his time when he made the mistake and took parts of his front wing off later in the race. Ralf came off worse in the incident.

Heh, $10,000 is nothing to Ferrari. Looks like Ralf got off real easy.

So, Ferrari got fined $10,000 for releasing Barrichello from his pit stop unsafely.

Ralf Schumacher got an official reprimand. 3 reprimands results in a race ban.

But when your team is hitting as bad as they were, it does matter. They could get men on fine, it was gettng them round that was the problem for them.
