Yea they have so they're trying to offload him and save on his wages and then concentrate on next season. Arizona are in the same boat as Seattle with giving up on this season and going for the future now the Mariners have traded Garcia off to the White Sox. (they better bloody keep Ichiro)
The Yankees only weakness i believe is in the pitching and also when Giambi isn't around the 1st and 2nd bag, although Clark did a great job last night. If they can get Johnson in that's a big monster to unleash and keep the runs down and with the likes of A-Rod, Jeter, Sheffield and Godzilla around you don't actually need to pitch well to still win. Imagine what a great pitcher like the big unit will do to aid the Yanks

I don't really know enough about baseball at the moment but the Yankees field looks pretty solid so a good pitcher might tighten the amount they concede. As they are a scoring team, it might make them win even more games.
