The official reason for scrapping the titles is they want to give the remaining titles more value.
The official reason for having 2 titles is Triple H won a No.1 contender match against the Undertaker and then Steph said Brock was Smackdown exclusive. The title was now disputed so they split again.

i mean it now only has, 6 belts.. its got rid of euro, hardcore and thats enough but now its gettin rid of its intercont too
