I haven't bought a game since Zelda and so naturally It was about time I didn't rely on the "once in a blue moon" GAD attempt and actually buy a game or two...

I ended up with 4.

For £50 Dringo of the SR forums bought:

Bomberman Generations
James Bond: Nightfire
Medal of Honor: Frontline
And...
Skies of Arcadia: Legends.

Not bad huh?

Jeez this is a joke. You were already laughed at after saying "Xbox Live is utter crap".

I don't like Tony Hawk games and 4 is the weakest for me. Thats all to be said on the matter.

But if I went into the PS2 forum and said PS2 is crap because it has all sequels. And then someone gives me a lift of A grade original titles and my best argument is "It makes sense to me" I'd be laughed out of SR.

It's like saying I don't like Skies of Arcadia because you can save.

It doesn't make sense.

The levels were as well designed as the last... the time limit still existed for the missions... it just allowed you to skate for the hell of it if you wanted and didn't make you re-start going through annoying loading screens each time.

It also taught people how to play Tony hawks better... THPS4 taught me how to connect combos so much better... I went back to THPS3 and thrashed it because of what THPS4 taught me.

Its my opinion. I'm not justifying myself any further. Like it or lump it.

...........

So instead of getting chucked out of levels every 5 minutes and having to restart, you can stay in the levels for as long as you want, and you see that as a bad thing?

ooooookay

They were but I prefered the fact that you could just select an area and you get a time limit to do that area. The process was simple and enjoyable. Tony Hawks 4 lengthened the process which made it far less enjoyable.

Walk around finding areas to skate?

The levels were the same as in all the other games, just a hell of a lot larger.

I am not saying its the weakest for everyone. Just me. I enjoyed it a lot less than the previous 3 and as far as I can see Underground is continuing where 4 left off.

The fact that it wasn't as instantly playable. Instead of just picking an area and skating in it you had to wonder around looking for areas to skate in. Slowed the instantly playable style down. Wakeboarding Unleashed was very good however as it reverted to the Tony Hawks 2 style of play.
