Yeah, well isn't it better for the games to be excellent instead of average, there was nothing special about the launch games of the Playstation2, infact in Japan (which is where the Gamecube will launch first with only three games) the Playstation2 console sold very well indeed, and all credit to Sony they sold the console super fast and made a nice profit.
*cough*
Hmmm... what about the game side? They didn't do to well did they Playstation fans, the Japanese buyers didn't really buy many games for the console, and after three weeks of the consoles launch per machine sold the game sales for Playstation2 games was near the margin of three machines to one game.
Ok, so the games didn't sell that well, and the companies who launched the quickly finished games which weren't exactly anything special didn't make any kind of profit, and I although Sony had several cockups with the console (Regional problems and Memory card faulties for example), nobody can deny that the launch of the Playstation2 was a huge success from Sonys point of view.
Coming from a Nintendo fan that was hard to cough out.
*cough cough*
Moving on, we have the GameCube, which every Sony fan seems to be wetting themselves over because it is said to only have three launch games in Japan... ok, lets think about this shall we, how many games do you want the public of Japan to buy at launch of Nintendo's console? Twenty? No... right then, because the likelyhood is that without the DVD player the public of Japan will buy the console for the games, not for old games from the N64, not for later releases (cough MGS), but for GAMING reasons. Isn't that what a console is for?
How many games did you buy at the Playstation2's launch over here? One? Two? or maybe three? Do you see. Nintendo are releasing three games only for a very valid reason. IT and THEY will sell, not just IT.
Nintendo may not have the quantity, but they most certainly have the quality.
Thanks

Ah, but I've already proved that Sony has more quality than Nintendo, plus the fact that the PS2 has a year and a half lead.

Ahh... well the 100Marios is going to be a demo on the US and UK launch... a little puzzle game:)
Not really I finished the course but didn't want to go with them to Malta. Hopefully i'll be able add that to a bit more cash so I can get 3 more pads. Games will have to come from brother, mother, or GAD's. I have 1 already... I need more GAD's... any ideas?!
Game
This proves that the world NEEDS Strepsils.

Of course, that is a matter of personal opinion...
I bought Tekken Tag, NHL2001, Timesplitters and Ridge Racer 5 at launch. I would also have bought Ready to Rumble and Silent Scope.
And before you say it, *I* think they were excellent launch titles, and that's what matters - just as it doesn't bother you that there are only three games available at the Japanese launch, none of which would appeal to me.
To be honest, I don't see what the PS2 fans are so happy about. There'll be severalmore games when the 'cube launches here, including - hopefully - the first of the Resi games and Rogue Squadron.
