Nintendo have updated the site and it now has an actual date to open. It will open in 14 days, 2 hours, 4 minutes and 9 seconds.

So, on the 22nd October at 7 o'clock, we can "Grab those gifts"

Umm it's open now, half the stuff has sold out though.

Yes, for us old dial-up folks any page takes many many moons to load up.
