The Gamecube controoler is one of the reasons I might not buy a gamecube. I have seen pictures of it and it looks pathetic I mean the cord is made from string, FROM STRING!!!!! and the overall design of the controller is poor too. But saying that the controller ties in well with the actual gamecube or should I say Lamecube itself the whole design is shoddy. I mean Nintendo say that are trying to move away from being solely child orientated to encompass more adults but with a design like that who are they trying to Kid. I mean its brightly coloured, plain and generally boring looking, ideal for kids, who Nintendo are obviously targeting as the people who are going to buy the Gamecube. So I wouldn't worry about the controller if you are willing to buy a cube that looks like crap you obviously shouldn't be worrying about the controller you should be worrying about whether or not you are still sane. So what have I got to say about the Gamecube controller Crap pure and simple CRAP!

Beatch, you couldn't posted a stupider, more sensless, uninformed load of tosh if you'd tried.

A cord of string? What?

And how can you call the GC pad boring?
It's the most colourful and imaginative pad of the lot.

Gamecube for kids...

Pah! It's the little kids who go round making names up like the "Lamecube"

Grow up!

The Wave Bird controller looks brilliant. I would imagin you can change the frequency that each controller works at so two controllers don't controll the same thing. There's a switch on the thing that plugs into the GC controller port that does this I would think.

I reckon the wavebird looks easier to use than the one with the cable. The buttons look more intuitively placed.

The thing I like about the controller is that the stick is where the d-pad is on the PS pad and that's how i like it. When using the PS pads 3d sticks your fingers stretch and it can be annoying, but if you play on a Dreamcast pad the stick is in a more natural position, like how it looks on the Gamecube pad. So i think i'll like the Gamecube pad!

I wonder what kinds of controllers other companies will make for the GC?

No doubts any 3rd party controller will look almost exactly the same but with longer handles, a slighty wobbly 3d stick, and some bizzare colours!

Why don't 3rd party controller designers actually take the amount out buttons and create a totally unique controller instead of tying to have exactly the same design as the original?
