Ermmmm... Sky News are suggesting that MS Flight Sim was used to train the terrorists in their pilot-ing skills. Cue mass histeria in the Daily Mail...

Who says gamers aren't skapegoats?

Yeah, it's too easy for it to be the truth, but:

what if it was them thinking they could throw them off the scent by making it look like them but too easy?

what if they did it to make sure the yanks knew it was them?

Well, they didn't have to look very far - it was parked in the airport carpark.

But we shall see.

Sorry, but that just seems *too* convinent, and too quick.

It all seems a bit easy.

"Oh look, we found a flight manual, no lets blow 7 bells of sh- out of the Arabs."

If you think about it, it does seem slightly too neat and tidy to me.

Bear in mind that the story only says that they may have used it to familiarise themselves with the airspace, not that it taught them to fly.

We already know that they found an Arabic flight manual in that car, and that they were *possibly* taught to fly at aviation schools within the US.

What I don't like is that there will be people who will read into this that it couldn't have been done without the game, which is nonsense. And once again, bad imagery will rub off on the gaming industry.

I agree with YH I can't see how a game could be training for a real plane! have you seen how many controls there are on it? it's not just a case of grabbing the wheel and steering it left and right, they'd have to know where they were going.

It's all the Wright Brothers' fault.

After all, if they hadn't invented the damn plane, they'd never have been up there in the first place.

(I hope the sarcasm comes across loud and clear.)
