Try actually finding out about something before posting junk like this. What on earth is the point of home issues if your home is not safe ? Over 60 people have been arrested in the UK since 9/11 and proved to be terrorists or linked to terrorists. These people existed before 9/11 and were ignored by the people arguing over home issues. Terrorism is bigger than any one country, it is by far a more important issue to tackle. As a country we've tried half heartedly tackling terrorism in Northern Ireland and our own country, with limited results. I am not saying we need an air campaign in Northern Ireland, but a more firm approach and not giving any ground to those who use violence against innocents would be by far the better approach, in all situations.
This is probably not the out come they were bargaining upon, note

Yes that was exactly my point, the fact that this event cuold nto be forgotten led to Enduring Freedom being launched and now democracy in Afghanistan is edging closer, it is not a total peace but it is better than no peace. As for Saddam, well with George Bush in power I'd say the countdown's starting, especially after Bush's brilliant state of the nation speech, hes right on with the "Axis Of Evil" statement.

Here here.

Exactly, at least we can say some good came of it in that the Taliban have been taken out of power, and now Afghanistan is working towards some sort of democracy. This is probably not the out come they were bargaining upon, note Saddam Hussain is still in power, despite his antics.

A thing like this should serve to bring people together, not drive

I agree, it is not a pleasant topic - I wasn't in America at the time but watched it live on SKY news from the moment reports of a first plane hitting the WTC. It was very shocking and through the day I saw some scenes I don't think I'll ever forget. But it shouldn't be forgotten, too many times people like to forget events like wars and disasters and this doesn't work all that well. This is still something thats very relevant to today. Nearly every country forgot about Afghanistan until 9/11 and look where that lead... :(
