"A stunning game that is also stunningly short"

I think we can all guess which one I am talking about...

Max Payne 2 is sounding like on hell of a game yet every review I have read has commented on how short it is and some have even said that its shorter than the original. I shall be there on the release of the Xbox version but this is a bit gutting to be honest as the first one I did in about 1 hour 50 minutes when playing New York minute.

Your thoughts?

Who said anything about a long drawn out game? It wouldn't have exactly killed the game by adding a couple more chapters.

It's disappointing news, but I'd rather have a great short game in which every moment is class than a long drawn-out affair.

*Shrugs*

Short games can still be good.

So what, I completed the original 12 times but that didn't stop it from beign ridiculously short and the fact that they said it would be longer just makes it worse. Gutted.

If it's replayable then it's worth it.

I bought Fighting Force 64 for about 30 quid ages ago. You could complete it in about 90 minutes and it had co-op play. It was perfect for a quick game you could rush through, enjoy and then come back to later.

Lylat Wars also springs to mind.

I intend to get another copy for the original Max Payne. It in a 2 for 26 quid deal so it may be sooner rather than later. :)
