I searched a reviews website for games that scored above 80% on both the N64 and PSone. The search returned:
67 N64 games, ranging from Zelda: OOT to X-Men: Mutant academy.
152 PSone games, ranging from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 to Brave Fenser Musashi.
So there were 85 more good games on the PSone. Even if you have a higher opinion of a good game, there are still:
13 N64 games ranging from Zelda: OOT to Turok 2.
23 PSone games ranging from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 to Winning Eleven 4.
Scoring 90% or more.
So, make of this what you wish, but I think next time someone says that Nintendo games are better, they should think carefully first.
But assume just for a moment that review scores are absolute proof of a game's quality, and that you have no bias or preference for any one platform over another. (I know it's hard, but try - just for a minute...)
Someone places two games consoles in front of you.
Console A has only ten games available, of which seven are obviously good or excellent games because they scored over 85% in the reviews.
Console B has thirty games available, of which 10 games received over 85% in the reviews.
Console A has a percentage of 70% 'great' games. But only seven worth getting.
Console B has a percentage of 33% 'great' games. But ten worth getting.
Do you go for the higher percentage, or the wider choice of games?
:-D
If you get the Percentages going you'll find that the N64 would come out top.

MATHBOY!
...and his sidekick, Mr Statistic.
He would have been a superhero in his own right, but everyone had a problem saying his name....

Does it matter?
Unfortunately yes. For I am Math-Boy. I see numbers and I need more, I must compile accurate statistics from them and analyse in great depth.
MATHBOY!
Count how many games that are available on N64.
Now go and count the number there are for Playstation.
Sorted.

Does it matter?
Some of us peeps prefer one, some the other.
Question:
How many games IN TOTAL are reviewed for each machine, and which machine has the greater percentage of good games?
But seriously. One point about all this is that there are games for each system that are not available on the other, and it's really a choice of the type of game you want to play and whether it's available on that system.
The other point, as previously mentioned, is that a review score is based on the OPINION of the person reviewing that game and other people's opinions may differ.
You seem a little unstable about something, perhaps you have a Playstation and are trying to justify to yourself why you didn't buy an N64? Don't worry, there are plenty of people enjoying the N64 and NOT worrying that other people may be playing one or two games more than them.
Anyway, how many games can you play at once, and how many can you afford? I think drinks are on Turbo....
