"GBA and Game Gear, look a bit too much similar??"

I'm creaing this topic because i think Sega might have helped Nintendo develope the GBA, and if not did Nintendo get the idea off the Game Gear?

Now that Sega and Nintendo work together i'm wondering if my theory is true!

I mean the shape of it's the same, and there are loads of Sega games coming out for the GBA with Sonic Advance, Chu Chu Rocket! and Actua Soccer is rumoured to have some stars from on it.

What do you think?

Is it just a coincidence that the GBA and Game Gear look the same?

And that Sega are making games for Nitendo?

It's no coincidence that they look the same, but I don't think it's a Sega/Nintendo conspiriacy. I think they look the same because the design is suited to hand-held gameplay, that's all, in the same way that most joypads look the same because it's the most ergonomic design for that purpose.

However, you are right, the GBA does look remarkably similar in design to the original Game Gear, which to me indicates that Nintendo saw what they thought was a good design and implemented all the best parts of it when designing the GBA.

But I don't think there was any collaboration on Sega's part.

i mean, look at the size of the gamegear, i've seen smaller breeze blocks! :)
