I've just seen the Gamecube Legend of Zelda video and I have to say, I'm shocked. Its an interactive cartoon, for crying out loud. It looks alright, but I still can't get over the radical change. Nintendo was only saying a few months ago how they wanted to gain an older audience, but then they go and take one of the games that would actually appeal to an older age group and turn it into yet another game for a child. I'm not saying it won't be good, but Zelda fans and non-Zelda fans alike will be disappointed with the radical change.

ps. Mario Sunshine looks amazing

I have not seen the video, I admit that. But just from the sounds of it, it could be a fake, it could be a new direction or it could be a diversion from the main series. I would not worry to much, it should be a good game whatever happens. Shigsy has taken a lot of chances over the years and nearly always he has managed to pull off something new and exciting. Give it time. Give it a chance.

Yeah, I think the reason for Shigeru Miyamoto choosing to do Zelda in this way was because he's fed-up with developers cipying his ideas. So he wanted to come up with something new - hence the new Zelda look. I've seen the video footage of it, some of it being in-game footage, some of it being just a demo, video type thing. I have to say that it still looks as good as ever - the gameplay I mean.

Yeah, I also I hope that Shigsy has a plan up his sleeve. Maybe a storyline that involves Link travelling from between to 'worlds' - one with the funny 'cel shading' look, and the other with the 'real' look.

That would be good, ay?

Yeah, it is something different, but I think they should have done it with another game first, as this may ruin Zelda's reputation (hopefully not though)

I think Nintendo were trying to do something different, as some of the games have the same look. Also who says the whole game will look like this, Nintendo may just have a suprise up their sleve (i hope so!)
