With the game cube an the way most people are thinking about that and only a small amount of people including me are thinking about whats next.
I think that a new kined of dream cast is being developed.

"Playstation" is too much of an institution for them to drop the name now.

The only real reaosn the N64 was called the N64.. was to show off the fact it was 64-bit, compared ot it's 32-bit competition...

My likely guesses for the name of sony's next console..

Playstation 3 (dull. boring. inevitable)

Sony Entertainment Xtra (I dare them to. I really do.)

Sonystation (which also allows for the parodying of the phrase 'Sony Playstation' into 'Play Sonystation')

Phony Greystation (unlikely I'll concede - but would raise a few smiles)

Playstation Advance

PS-Tri (pronounced 'pastry')

Sony already have plans for the PS3 - and that is what it will be called. To be honest, who cares what name it has - so long as it's a good console it doesn't matter does it?

I hope the PS3 will be called 'Never Made' as it would be a pointless exercise, they should come out with something more original, I hope anyway.
