Wait a sec, are my eyes seeing correctly, are the new mario kart and new f-zero being realeased in practically the same month, thats silly nintendo.
Surely it will mean that people will choose 1 over the other (prob mario) and therefor bring down sales of the other. I know i will only be buying 1.
Why not realease them with a big gap between and then they might both sale as well as each other.

They are dopes. If only Mario Kart had been released this month, I wouldnt be wasting my life right now doing this!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand your point fully but Nintendo are desperately trying to sell as many GC's as possible as fast as possible right now (hence the price drop) this is almost like a last chance saloon for the GC as far as Nintendo are concerned, they intended to flood the market with 'must have' games hoping that it shifts a good few consoles to safeguard the Qubes future for the next 2 years.
If the 2 games in question do both sell well and more importantly for Nintendo the 2 games help to shift many thosuand GC's then we all win in the longterm... i think Nintendo know that most people wont be able to afford both games at full price and im also sure that they dont really mind, they have offered us all a choice of games... we can have 1, both or neither... thats gotta be better than being lumbered with naff all to choose from :)
Whilst im typing i just want to add some news (not gossip, but news) that Driver 3 is once again coming to the Qube next year... yes it was coming, then it wasnt, now it is again... i got the news from a personally replied email that i sent to the developers... i can post the full email question and reply if anytone is interested... looks like the new born GC with improved sales figures was all that it took to prompt certain developers to open their eyes and see that the GC does have a future and theres money in them there hills so to speak.

Last year people complain that there's nothing of intrest coming out for Cube, this year people complain because Nintendo have the audacity to release more than one AAA title in the same month.

A blitz like this will ensure that the GameCube gets a sudden boost in each reason, enticing developers and retailers to welcome it back and hold it in favour of the Xbox. Evidently, Nintendo have planned this to give them a distinct advantage in 2004.
You must remember Nintendo delayed Pikmin 2, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes and Final Fantasy till next year so there are AAA titles to fill up the next 6 months... and we're not bogged down with titles.
And besides F Zero doesn't really sell too well anyway... releasing it when the Gamecube is on a high has always been a good thing.

Well for one thing it is perfect for me because i can afford both of them since they are basically in 2 different months, so every new month I get my £50 allowance which I mostly plan ahead from the moment i hear of when a new game i want comes out, and since F Zero was out b4 the end of the month I used up the last of my previous allowance on that and the next day came when i got a whole new allowance.
P.S since I get £50 a month, if i don't have any games to buy in that month I will have the whole £50 to spend or save up for something else. Say on movie tickets and magazines.

I get £2000 a month, so if there aren't any games worth buying, I'll buy something else, and still have enough to buy the games when they are available.
If you are only able to get one game out of the two, the other will still be on the shelf at a later date. Its not like you have to buy them together.
