But then i read that nintendo is to release a superfx 3 chip for the GBA that will be built using 0.18 micron technology (this means it will be small enought to fit in a cartrage). The chip is supposedly able to produce up to 16 thousand poloygons / s. Brilliant

I've got a Gameboy Advance and I have *no* trouble with seeing the screen. Obviously you'd need backlighting to play it without a light and without natural daylight - so I just play either under a lightsource or by a window.
I didn't have a GBC so I can't comment on that, but it was exactly the same situation with the Gameboy Original and Gameboy Pocket. I just think people ought to glaze over the lighting and enjoy the GBA for what it is - a portable and entertaining handheld games console.
I've sorted those guys out!
