It wasn't intentional. We came up with it at Glastonbury about 3 years ago. I'm growing a bit weary of that name now anyway - it got a bit more crap and cringy every time you heard it. The friends thing was an accident, although we have seen the episode in question.
Why did you name your band after a lame sketch from Friends? Jennifer Anniston may have very nice hair but its still not very rock 'n' roll.

We did! We put it through my Fostex 380 multitracker and then onto minidisc. We only had one mic for the drums though - the last studio we went into used 24! It came out pretty crappy though. I'll see if any of it is any good and then I'll convert it to mp3 and you can all have a listen to the sounds of Monkey.
