Has anyone had that problem?
Every time i put a DVD in, it comes up with this message, i know for certain that it isn't the disk, as I keep them in great condition, any advice would be apppreciated.

Well, yeah. The other option is to send it to Microsft for repair, like Gonzo said. I wasn't that bothered about what was on my hard-drive so I just took it back to where I'd bought it, which was GAME, and they just gave me a new one.

That sounds all well and good, but wouldn't you loose all the data in the hardrive?

Hmm, I've been getting this with my new Live start-up disc. Worrying, although it could just be dirty, or damaged.

Same as what BG said. I had this problem with my first XBox too, phoned up Microsoft and they got it sorted for me free of charge despite being a couple of weeks outside the warranty period.

This used to happen all the time with my first Xbox. I eventually realized it was faulty as more and more games kept failing to load and the soundtracks kept skipping.

If it's still under a 12 month warranty I'd take it back and get a fresh one.

I'm not saying that it is faulty, it's just that mine had the same problem and it turned out to be faulty.

I've been getting the same with my Halo disc. I had to clean it for half an hour before could finally play the last level again.

Put a DVD in what? I presume an Xbox. And in response to your question:

No.

Eat the disc.

Or get a new one.

Or buy an XBox.

Or Eat your XBox.
