Hi. I didn't know if I should have posted this on the Sony forum or here. So i did it here because there are more people likely to answer.

Well anyway, here is my review of GT3.

GT3! Anyone who hasn't heard of the GT series by now has got to be dead or something. It has taken over the world. And now the next edition is here. GT3 has arrived.

Now the first improvement on the second in the series is that now there is only one CD instead of 2 so if your friend comes in when you are doing a GT mode and he wants to play you in an arcade you can easily just quit the championship mode and go into the arcade. because in the old one you would have to switch the game off and put in the arcade mode cd, and this saves a lot of time for loading and stuff.

Now on to the actual game. In arcade mode you can race with many cars and on many courses. Now there are less cars in this version than in the last one but don't let that put you off. What the game doesn't have in vehicles and courses it makes up for in graphics. They are absoloutely stunning. Some people don't think that these kind of graphics could be done on a PS2. But they are.

Championship or GT mode is where all the action really is. First of all you have to buy a car ( best from the japanese garage as it is the cheapest ) and then try and get a license and then compete in races. There are many courses of many types in the game. Some are just normal speedways and some are rally courses.
If you win races then you get money to buy better equipment to win better races and so on. That is what this is all about. To win all the secret cars in the game you truly have to be an expert at the game but it is worth becoming an expert just to see the last few secret cars. They look amazingly good and handle brilliantly.

The game also has a multiplayer. Not many games don't these days and this is no exception. The multiplayer is just the same as the one in GT2. And i mean the same. The only way you could tell the difference is because of GT3's superior graphics difference.

You must buy this game. It is just too good. Well worth the money.

Buy the game. Full Stop.

Thanks 4 reading, Afro

While I was playing the game, I bought the New Beetle so that I can race in the Beetle cup. I did it up, with just one turbo left to add. The car was normal then. As soon as I added that last turbo, the acceleration went haywire. Try it out for yourself! You'll see.

The owner of a games shop near me also had the same problem. He rang up Sony, and they said that it was a bug. I haven't found any other cars that have the same problem yet.

They do... kind of. With the right camera angle on the replay, you can see 'through' the car, and there's a silhouette of a driver, wearing a helmet.

Not perfect, but personally I'm not bothered - I like watching the cars in the replay... the 'shape' of the car as it leans on its suspension and corners... the glowing brake discs... that incredible sound of finely tuned engine as you downshift approaching the corner... fantastic stuff!

The only thing that gets me about it is that none of the cars have drivers in them.

GT3 has a couple of graphical annoyances, which make it lower down than the best looking game ever for me. Just look at the car closely as the camera zooms towards it, the detail just appears on the car when you get close enough, now when you race you will watch in annoyance when lights disappear from the rear end of Nissan Skylines etc. Just a litle point, doesn't stop it being the best racer ever, but a litle less than the best looking game ever.

lol! Very true, and there's another reason why I say Wookiee is a better 'arguer' than me.

GT3 is the best looking game ever, surely!

GT3 has made me lose sleep, it has made me forget that I have a usually normal life, and it has turned me into a mindless zombie, yet anyone who says games are bad for me will be swiftly whacked on the head with a frisbe like Ridge Racer 5 cd, not that games make you more violent either, which I would just like to point out.

MSR (or project gotham) on the XBox looks better yes, but not on the DC.
