Just out of interest..
Perhaps. But still, I think the management are pathetic. Nintendo Of America seem the most on the ball, put them in charge.
"An analyst at a U.S. brokerage, who asked not to be identified, said Nintendo would launch a toy-like game priced around $100 that would not directly compete with next-generation machines being developed by Sony Corp and Microsoft Corp"
That sound mighty like the Gamecube... ;)
It appears (because this is now the third revision of the Reuters piece) that the losses are just for the Japanese division... the most successful territory for the Gamecube and one that has traditionally stood by Nintendo through thick and thin. Which is worrying.

Said on the same day Nintendo posted their first ever losses - Gamecube hasn't managed a good year in it's life, let alone having one left in it. Games-wsie, yeah, that's been good, but Ninty has to make some pennies sooner or later.

Yay. I don't want to be buying new stuff quite that soon.

*Rubs Q* Another reason to delay new consoles - it'd be crap if the Q was outdated. It's the best console in the universe :^)

I doubt it - The Q has been around for ages and ain't coming (damn them!)
But you never know.
