there are two stores in preston :
1st store :
"Have you got any XBOX Live starter kits?"
attendant : "Err, we have the headsets, I think we stopped selling the starter kits as they are giving them away with xboxes."
"Right, so how are people who already have xboxes supposed to get live?"
attendant : "Err, well we don't have any ..."
2nd store :
"Have you got any XBOX Live starter kits?"
attendant : "Yes, quite a few upstairs"
"I'll take one"
notice the difference in transactions.

sent an e-mail to microsoft support about transferring accounts, don't expect a reply any time soon, will get on to them next week via phone.

the thing is after forking out amazons extortionate(sp) p&p costs, I'll probably only save a few quid from buying it here.

ah cheers DWB, that's a big help, although there is one there for 35 nicker which shows the headset, so I think I'll opt for that.

I paid £40 for a Live starter kit on Saturday from Game and it only had the demo disk. I apologise SR, I do now regret it.
From amazon prices, £40 one is with headset, £30 one is without headset.

what package? I had hoped the two reviews there would tell me, but they are as much use as an indoor airport
