Over the past few weeks I’ve noticed a few of threads about benchmarking, I was thinking how about - instead of making hundreds of different threads, how about making one single thread for that everyone can add to?

Or even how about a nice “AMD3D Member Benchmark Database"? Obviously all of the software does already come with a comparing system - but it'd be nice to compare scores with people from the community.

Obviously it'll be using synthetic benchmarking software, unless anyone has something different like what magazines use? I think the main 3 would be adequate: -

3Dmark2001SE
Aquamark3
PCmark2004

(And any other's which I cannot think of right now)

I'll start, using this spec: -

AMD Athlon 2400+ XP – 2015mhz
256mb Crucial PC2700 RAM
Connect3D Radeon 9600 PRO (Not overclocked – With 3.10 beta drivers)
MSI KT6 Delta motherboard
Coolermaster Aero 7 Lite

XP2800
1024 DDR333
9800 Pro

3dmark01 SE is all I have and its in the region of 15,800. Havent got it installed at the moment. The RAM is DDR400 but it runs insync with the fsb of the CPU.I changed the CPU to run at 200mhz FSB and running only 25mhz over the normal setting but with a higher fsb and lower multiplier. And then the RAM could run at 400mhz and I got in the region of 16,700.

The only decent bit of kit in this computer is the graphics card, heh, my motherboard isnt even AGP 8X compatible. I will resist the temptation to post my scores to save face.

Haha. I checked Device manager and it says that it's definately a 9800 Pro, which is weird considering I only paid Dell to upgrade to a 9800, not a Pro.

Result! :D
