Someone may have posted it before, or not, doesn't matter really ... if anyone has missed it and has a good chance of making a claim then it's worth me posting it.
I've had countless hundreds of pounds taken from me due to going overdrawn by £5 here, a tenner there, over the years. I'm willing to bet there's a substantial amount of my hard earned money lining some rich assh**** pocket, and I intend to try and get it all, or as much as I can, back.
It seems to be a very grey area with regards to legality and success, but if you read both of those articles, the results sound very promising.
So, I'm just putting the finishing touches to a letter addressed to my bank manager, if all goes well I could be looking at a decent payout. At the worst I'll get my account closed ... not the end of the world. These charges are in most cases totally unfair and disproportional to the 'costs' the bank are incurring.

It'll be okay =) but yeah thank god I kept all my statements. It seems to be the main hurdle if you dont have them because it involves giving them money (which we dont want to do) and waiting over a month.
By law they can only charge you £10 for all 6 years worth of statements, but they've been trying to get more by saying it's £3 per statement. For some reason they seem to keep forgetting that ¬_¬ I guess they use it as a tactic to scare off people.
It's their only defense, scare them into quitting and the sooner they do that the more money they save.

Currently I'm waiting for a complete list of all charges imposed upon my account in the last 6 years. They have, by law, up to 8 weeks to provide this and I just know they're going to be an a**e about it.
Here's hoping they don't bring in some new legislation that works in the banks favour, in the mean time ... :(

Don't forget to keep us updated on how this goes. I think next Thursday I have to sort out the court date. It's just a formality, I'll end up cancelling it before the date, when they settle with me for every penny + interest + court fee =)
Also you wont get your account closed, though they might not like you =) one guy sued a bank for closing his account and he won.
The banks and card comapnies just want to scare you as much as possible to back out.
But the truth is, if you put a little effort (writing and sending the letters) and money (sending them record special delivery) then you'll get every single penny back in the last 6 years.

They are more than helpful and have all the letters ready for you :)
