i say super mario sunshine.

It's a good game but hardly the best. I'm torn between Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3 and Mario 64. Six Golden Coins was also quite good.

Sunshine is a fantastic game and definatly up their with the best...

But best Mario game is probably Super Mario World... in my eyes at least.
