I am getting a new graphics card and the place I am getting it from has a 128MB and a 256MB Radeon 9600. The 256MB card is only £8 more expensive but I was thinking why is there only £8 difference? have they left something off the 256MB card or what? Any advice would be much appreciated.

My advice? Just go for the 128mb card. Even if the difference is only £8, you simply aren't gonna notice the difference in a 9600.

Just to confirm, the Radeon 9600 will be ok to play Half Life 2 and Doom 3 won’t it?

Dunno, I can't tell you what isn't possible yet. But yeah, seeing as the dev is catering for DX6 as minimum, it should be near max. on 9600s. At least I hope so, because I have one.
