Might see if I can get it cheap from somewhere.
The original is great though, one of the finest tactical shooters I've ever played, online it's rubbish, just full of clans who like to pretend they're in the army by calling each other "Private" and "Captain", it is however, amusing to see these people chatter to each other but doesn't leave much of a fun online experience.
the webshite is poo tho.
There was always something great about lying on the edge of a forest with a pair of benoculars for half an hour before you feel confident enough to make a rush for the line of buildings 200m away, knowing that death could come at any time and that helicopter knew you were round there somewhere. And the squad battles were great too, half the time you felt useless because you can't even tell which direction the fire's coming from, so when you do finally get a kill it's so satisfying.
Helicopters were just great fun really, takes away the stealth element for a while and just puts you in a deathmatch styled battle. Keep moving and keep those bullets pouring out...
I tried to love it, really, I did. But as a grunt you die without ever seeing the enemy, and the vehicle controls were fiddly and annoying. The warthog? I could never get it off the ground, let alone fly somewhere and do the mission. The chopper? Same deal. Single missions? I *hate* single missions in games like this. Op Flash, MOH etc shouldn't have them. At all. They make a hard game harder by putting you by yourself with a gun with all the power of a water pistol against the entire red army.
Still, I never played it online. Maybe that's where it's goodness shines.
