Will you be playing Mir this evening?
I managed to download it at the end of last week, and was going to try it for the first time this evening. Some asistance may be required?
I now have ONE hour to do. I really, really hate download accelerator.
"Your download will take five minutes to finish."
Five minutes later.

Five minutes later... etc.
Starting in your town, you have to go out and kill deer and hens to collect meat to bring back to the market to sell to the butcher, who gives you gold with which you buy better armour and weapons and spells.
With these upgrades you can go out and kill more and bigger monsters, some of which drop nice items or gold instead of just meat.
As you level up, you become stronger, and are capable of surviving in the more dangerous areas like the caves, mines, deserts and tombs that you kept getting killed in before.
One thing to watch out for, every other player that you meet in the game is human controlled, therefore very unpredictable. They may kill you, they may help you, they may lend you a candle to see in the dark or they may give you a fine sword that you'll not be able to use until you have a high enough defence class ranking.
Or you may simply kill them. The choice of action is yours.
Later on, you can form guilds of like minded players and attempt to take out a whole town, a whole region, or the whole game by battling other guilds.
Meantime, the quickest way of growing is to group with other players the same level as you and share the kills with them. Details are all at http://www.legendofmir.net in the beginner's guide and the full manual which you can download in acrobat format.
The game is very similar to Diablo II, but a lot more fun.
The download for the main game is 227 MB.
Hawkwynde?....hawk...wynde....snigger!
