I'm a really big Spiderman fan and have most of the early comics, But I went to the movies recently to watch Final Fantasy but I was more intrested in one of the trailers before it.
A bank gets robbed, all goes well, they run to the roof where their escape helicopter awaits their arrival, they speed off for a few minutes before..."Whats happening? we've completly stopped" then the helicopter and all it's passengers whizz backwards to the twins towers (New York) and dangle in mid air.
Well, I have no idea what the film will be about but I hope they don't include this clip, I will see the movie whatever happens but this has got to be the worst trailer I've seen in a long time.

There was a film on a few weeks ago call 'The Phantom' it has got to be the worst lycra wearing action hero film ever, the lead role was Kate Winslett's Husband from Titanic and he somehow got abbandonned in the jungle at a young age and was taught wisdom and combat from some strange guys wearing nothing but a loin cloth around their waste, all of a sudden 400 years later he had a ridiculous Purple suit on! I can completly understand why I hadn't heard of this movie until 2 weeks ago. (it was a 1995 film by the way).

Basic Plot:

Peter Parker is a chemistry student at college with Professor Ock.
Experiment goes wrong, Parker gains powers after being bitten by spider.

Wrestling Impressario sees him trying out his new powers, convinces him to become a wrestler.

Then The Green Goblin shows up (also experiment result) and all hell breaks loose.

The original script I have is about Dr Octopus, not GG (written by James Cameron).
They've changed some stuff around, but it's still the basic premise of an origin story and how he deals with stuff.

With some red Chinese writing at the top, and some yellow Chinese writing at the top... and a lovely big dragon in the background...?

That's the one!

Bloody hope not - anyone seen the Ain't It Cool rummors on Batman Zero? It goes over the origin story AGAIN, how many times has Batman had an on-screen origin? That would be the third, methinks. Necessary? Nope.

I got a Bruce Lee shirt in California. Is yours orange and black (flame like) and have a picture of Bruce Lee doing his side punch with that angry look on his face? That's what mine looks like anyway.

I almost got a Johnny Blaze shirt as well but it was giant and wouldn't fit me. It was pretty awful but I would have worn it for a laugh. It was blue and had a metal Johnny Blaze badge on the front and it said Commando on the back.

At least they didn't go down the black costume route. A few years ago I would have expected that, along with absoloutely no explanation as to why he was wearing it.

Does anyone know if this is an 'origin' story?

Am I the only one who thinks that the Spidey costume in the new movie looks completely rubbish? it looks like the old 80s TV outfit.

I didn't think For the Love of the Game was that bad, but then I like Baseball so I was quite happy to sit through it. Add the fact that I saw it as an in-flight on the way to the States, during which I would have watched anything to take my mind of the monotony of the flight and it suddenly seems quite reasonable.
