Very similar, and just what I was thinking, but I think he means a rotation in the other direction. The trouble is though, that with the Neg-con, it was held firmly to the side of the controller whilst rotating, meaning that it could be kept stable and resistance could be applied with little trouble. Rotating on a hinge so as to almost break the contoller in half and pivot would mean significant weaknesses, and make it pretty difficult to control the rotation.

Yes, I am a clever dick!

It would certainly satisfy your anger if you threw the pad at a wall and watched it snap in two - safely!

You mean the Namco Neg-Con?

The one-handed bit actually looks pretty smart, would be useful for RPGs when there's boring dialogue bit - frees up the other hand for snacking or other, unsightly, things.
But the controller together (both bits) would probably just come apart when you get pished off.

i really dont see it catching on because it increases troubles with hand eye as the two parts are never stable.

however, i would like to see one of those controllers that has the d-pad side on a hinge. on driving games, you unsporing the lock and turn it up and down like a steering wheel.

Does anyone else think that would be very unstable during frantic play?

The sticks look a bit small... and the start select buttons might become a problem during play, getting in the way of the shape buttons. Other than that, maybe worth getting.
