As surprised as I am to find myself admitting it, I guess this shows Ninty have a good grasp of their marketting strategy, it just surprises me that they bunch big releases together like this, at least when it's not christmas. Surely they'd take sales from each other?
Ah well, they probably make that up with console sales...

Yeah, it's been out in Japan for a couple of months.
It IS a Final Fantasy game, though, and is also, typically, massive and filled with wads of text. Hence it taking so long to arrive anywhere else. I think the US should get it soon, then Europe about 2 or 3 months further down the line, due to translations into German, French, etc.

is FF:CC out in japan yet? i've got a friend who played it about 2-3 months ago...and it just seemed crazy that it "STILL" isnt out yet.

True, but there's still a lot of flexibility in how they time the releases in Europe. They could easily hold either back for a moth or two.
