I'm just wondering whats it's like. I've only ever played on the first Myst game and i really enjoyed it. The puzzels where so hard i literally spent hours just trying to figure some of them out.

Didn't well all! My uncle's notes looked like a book when he finished the game. In Myst didn't you have to put different coloured pages into different coloured books to travel to other places? This is all off the top of my head as i had Myst for the Mac, which i haven't played on for years!

I played Riven and completed that, even though I had to cheat on a couple puzzles as they were stupidly hard, and I finally got round to buying Myst the other day, as I found it in a shop for £2
I'm gonna try and complete that first, and then i'll probably get Myst3, as it looks like a great point n click game.

*FM dredges up from his memory all those moments he can recall from playing Myst endlessly...*

Myst 1 was something about being on an island and trying to find out what happened to your father and brother (I think). You did this by collecting pieces of paper and safe codes and turning wheels and pulling switches. The most annoying thing about the last puzzle was it was so simple, you had a choice of two buttons to press. The downside was that you had NO CLUE WHATSOVER which button was the correct one, and pushing the wrong one meant doom.

So you did ALL those hours of logical puzzle solving, ALL those impossible brain teasers, only to find out that the whole game outcome rested on a 50:50 chance.

I found that to be VERY annoying indeed.

Myst 3 looks pretty impressive but I would never play it, not my cuppa tea.

If it's the PC game then I played the first Myst, but not the other two, they didn't appeal after the first one was labouriously finished.

Are we talking about the PC game or Mystique?
