I don't think this has happened but it would be interessting. When the notables get selected, i think a newbie should be give notable stauts (NOT ME SOMEONE ELSE). Cause that would be a good thing to give to someone when they join, it would make it more interessing for them to realise what all this fuss is about.

Natable status is a REWARD for giving alot into the forum. Notables are VOTED in, and this allows people to show their apreciation.

Well, I go on this site to talk about gaming and otherthings, winning games and becoming a notable rank just happens to be a part of it!

It would be nice to become a notable, but you have to earn respect, from all of the users of the forums, and I don't think that I have gained that much respect yet.

Having the rank notable under your name means more than a gold insignia, it means that there are many people out there who recognise your ability to post extremley well, and that you are highly respected! :-)

Will you GROW UP!

You don't understand what a notable is.
It's not just about quality otherwise anyone could get in.
What's more, I've seen plenty of idiots get away with the odd Gameaday.
The notable system is fine the way it is.

As for Notable power - yes they do have it.
It is the power they got through the respect of other writers in the forum.

And it's a power they had LONG BEFORE THEY BECAME NOTABLE!

no, i mean if someone is a newbie and they have won a gad BEFORE they get regular they should get it.

Also but-kissers for notables is very sad. A notable is someone who when they post there name is gold and it has notable under there name. Then they think they have some sort of power... when they don't. KEEP IT REAL, ITS ONLY A DISCUSSION BOARD (were you can get games on) DON'T TAKE IT SO SERIOUSLY, chill out and just try for gads, don't try for notables

There are regulars out on this forum with recognised talent to become a notable, these people post regulary and post well! Newbies haven't earned the right, some regulars have! :-)

Yeah but then theres no reason for the notable status, if you join and without typing anything you automatically become a Notable there would be no reason for Notables.

That completely throws the point.

Why do so many people not understand what a notable is.

A notable is someone who is notable.
Some one who is noted for good writing, attendance and contributing to the forums.

A newbie does not do that.
And if they can do that then they will become a notable first.

A newbie notable...

Whatever next...
