Atrocious blasphemy to the good names of gaming shotguns."
What? I quite liked it.
The original AvP minigun was decent - but you couldn't walk while firing.
The smart gun and pulse rifle were great, though. I wish Hick's shotgun had been in.
Unreal 2's shotgun is also great fun when firing incendiary rounds. that's my second favourite weapon, because the explosions are amusingly effective.
Unreal 2's Incendiary grenades. These grenades are pleasing to watch, and sound great when they create a backflash...
RCTW's flamethrower. This weapons is one of the coolest existing, and so are the nazis that carry it, with their evil-lookin' cloaks and masks. why is it that evil is cool?...
Alien vs predator 2's Minigun. This is a REAL minigun. UT and UT2k3's miniguns can hang their head in shame.
> M1 GARAND in Call of Duty.
The Garand, are you sure? it's an accurate weapons which is good but it forces you to shoot off every round before you can reload, and that can be troublesome at times. Personally I'd choose the M1 Carbine, a less powerful rifle, but it holds more bullets and has non of the reloading issues of the garand.
And for my list of weapons, here goes:
The Expander Gun - Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition: Has basically the opposite effect as the shrink ray, expanding the enemy outwards until he explodes in a hail of blood and guts. One of the funniest weapons I've ever used.
Colt Commando - Max Payne 2: A very powerful and accurate weapon, one of my favorite game weapons around but I liked it best in the max payne games.
Lightsabre - Jedi outcast: 'the' best fictional weapon ever, bar none.
Grav Gun - Half Life 2: I'm perhaps being a little premature with this weapon, since I haven't once used it and will unlikely to for a few months yet, but from what I've seen it looks a blast to use and will, I'm guessing, be among one of the more stand out guns in the game.
Oh, and the Uber-machine-gun-thing in Splinter Cell.
Atrocious blasphemy to the good names of gaming shotguns.
Urrrrgh. The Allied Assault shotgun felt like something they'd put in at the last minute. It didn't feel, sound or play like a shotgun does in other games. In short, it sucked.
